Blog
Polynucleotide treatments focus on regenerative skin health. They are made up of nucleotides, building blocks of DNA and RNA. When injected under the skin, these skin boosters improve texture, elasticity, fine lines, and wrinkles and boost hydration. They promote collagen production and fibroblast proliferation and have great anti–inflammatory properties to reduce redness, promote healing and improve signs of skin damage. This means It is suitable for patients with rosacea and sensitised skin. The product also acts on the melanogenesis pathway, reducing and improving hyperpigmentation. The result is dewy, brighter, tighter, younger-looking skin.
What is the difference between NCTF & Polynucleotide Treatment?
NCTF is a skin treatment containing some polynucleotides. It is purely man-made and contains no animal products. It also has other skin-boosting ingredients such as glutathione and niacinamide.
Pure polynucleotides are derived from fish DNA (typically from salmon or trout gonads!) and contain a higher concentration of pure polynucleotide for more noticeable skin regeneration.
Where can it be used?
NCTF is used in any area you like to be treated, including the face, neck, chest and hands.
Polynucleotide can be used for the face, neck, eyes, chest, hands, legs, arms, and stomach.
How long do results take?
The product is delivered below the skin and works on a cellular level. It can take up to 3 months to see optimum results. This is because the cells take time to utilise the active ingredients and complete the regenerative process.
How long does it last?
For best results, we recommend a course of 3 treatments, 2 weeks apart. A booster treatment is then recommended every 4 – 6 months.
